PaperIQ in Healthcare & Social Services

The PaperIQ digital pen platform has become the leading platform for healthcare and social services in the UK

Pioneers of digital pens in healthcare

The 500 digital pen & BlackBerry solution delivered to the Medicals Direct Group in 2006 was a ground breaking contract for Anoto digital pen technology in UK healthcare. Today, the PaperIQ Enterprise Server solution continues to deliver huge business service benefits and savings in data capture for Medicals Direct's nationwide network of nurses. Leading provider to the UK National Health Service (NHS)

Since 2009, the healthcare sector has been the primary focus for DevelopIQ for sales & development of the PaperIQ platform. The digital pen solution rolled-out to the Maternity team of 130 midwives at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust has significantly reduced the time spent on administration, freeing up time to care and delivered estimated savings of £220,000 per annum.Building on this success, Portsmouth NHS are now working with DevelopIQ to expand digital pens to other services delivered by the Trust.

In addition to Portsmouth NHS, DevelopIQ is currently working with 15 NHS Trusts on first or final stage deployments and a lot of this work involves integrated solutions with our healthcare partners. To enhance our solution delivery to the NHS, DevelopIQ recently recuited Richard Sargent who was the project lead at Portsmouth NHS for mobile nursing solutions and is also an ITIL V2 &V3, PRINCE2 practitioner.

Social Services

Since the major reforms to UK healthcare were announced in July 2010, we have witnessed a significant drive to merge social services, such as Adult and Child care with the NHS to ensure joined up patient care and shared patient record systems. DevelopIQ has already deployed digital pen solutions for data capture to several Councils for Child & Adult care and our work in this area is increasing rapidly.
