This is a major new IT initiative in Wales which focuses on streamlining health and social services – and breaking down professional and organisational barriers – so that frail adults receive the care and support they need at home rather than having to go into hospital or a care home unnecessarily.

      In partnership with LAN2LAN, DevelopIQ won a competitive tender in early 2011, Caerphilly County Borough Council selected the PaperIQ digital pen platform for an initial deployment of 40 digital pens. The Council are now working with LAN2LAN & DevelopIQ to expand the numbers of forms and digital pens used across the Council's various departments.

      DevelopIQ won a competitive tender early in 2011 to supply a digital pen solutions and wider mobile application development skills and services to Cambridge & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust is responsible for patients over a large rural area where connectivity can be challenging and it is seeking to revolutionise the delivery of services to reduce costs and free more time to care using innovative mobile technologies.

      Construction Skills provide training programmes and support for apprenticeship programmes to the UK construction sector. Since 2007, the organisation has used PaperIQ's digital pen platform for completing apprentice progress review forms.

      North Merseyside HIS are working hard across their trusts to deliver efficiencies aligned to the QIPP agenda utilising technology. DevelopIQ have been chosen to deliver this using their PaperIQ Digital Pen platform. NM HIS have chosen the Continuing Health Care Team who are working across the Liverpool Community to lead this initiative.They will use Digital Pens and forms to replace their existing paper based process, allowing them to become more efficient by reducing data entry, travel time & costs and ‘freeing time’ for staff to spend on clinical duties.

      Working in close partnership with the IT and Maternity Team at Portsmouth, DevelopIQ has developed a full set of Maternity forms that integrate with the Maternity department's patient record system. The PaperIQ digital pen solution which is rolled out to 130 midwives using BlackBerry smartphones is estimated to have saved the Trust £220,000 per annum and it's success has been recognised by several industry awards.

      Shropshire Council has been a PaperIQ customer since 2008 and has installed the PaperIQ Enterprise Server platform in-house to capture notes of council meetings. In addition some council departments use digital pen technology for the capture of handwritten forms.
