Each field on a digital paper form may be 'enabled' with a specific dictionary and/or subset of allowed characters, symbols or digits. This allows the recognition performed to achieve extremely high accuracy. Custom dictionaries may be built using the customer's specific codes or commercial names in addition to dynamic dictionaries that are built as the form is recognised based on specific form values written by the user.
Biometric Signature Verification & Identification more
Each user of the platform can enroll their personal signature as a means of identification. Many unique attributes of their signature are captured, such as pressure, shape and acceleration thus allowing subtle variations over time. Once a user is enrolled, their form signature may then be verified when forms are subsequently submitted and viewed, or custom workflows may be executed based on the identified signature.
Spline-based PDF Rendering more
As well as viewing the image of a completed form via a normal web browser, a high quality PDF copy of the form using spline interpolation (which accurately smooths out the lines between pen-captured co-ordinates) is also available for download or automatic distribution either within or outside the organisation.
PDF Digital Signing & Distribution more
If the user's signature has been verified using Biometric recognition, then the PDF copy of the form generated can be digitally signed with their unique digital signature, now legally admissable in the EU & USA. This digital signature allows subsequent viewers of the PDF to be assured that the user was the genuine originator of the completed form, and that it has not been tampered with since production.
Data Validation more
Any field on a digital paper form can be specified to require a value and may also be specified to require a certain data format or range of values. Strict data validation at the platform level prevents invalid or un-recognised data from passing any further and maintains the integrity of the enterprise system.
Data Delivery more
Once a user's form data has been recognised and validated, it may then be delivered to an organisation's enterprise system using a variety of methods. Regular batched data transfers are available for legacy systems, whilst real-time xml-based web services are available to push data to organisations with the appropriate interfaces and infrastructure.
SMS & Email Notifications more
At all times the user is kept informed of the status of their digital paper submission through the use of electronic notifications. A user's preference is specified for the type of notification, and these are triggered when a form's data has been successfully received by the user's enterprise system, or they have written an invalid value or omitted a required field.
User & Pen Administration more
Each client administrator has the ability to administer their own users including adding additional users to the portal and controlling which forms users may view. New pens may also be provisioned for use and the forms for which they are authorised may be specified.
